A cryogenic cylinder (liquid cylinder) is a portable vacuum-insulated vessel that stores liquefied gas and delivers it as gas or liquid under pressure. It replaces a whole rack of high-pressure cylinders, is refilled on site or exchanged, and needs no foundation or permit for a stationary tank.
Argon is the most expensive of the air gases, so boil-off losses translate directly into money. A vacuum-insulated tank with a correctly sized ambient vaporizer keeps consumption stable and losses minimal, even at low take-off rates.
Cryogenic cylinders are the right choice when consumption is too high for cylinders but too low or too irregular for a stationary tank, when the point of use changes, or when a mobile reserve is needed next to a stationary system.
We select the volume, working pressure and configuration (gas or liquid withdrawal, built-in vaporizer, pressure regulator, level gauge) for the customer's actual process, and supply small vacuum-insulated tanks where a cylinder is no longer enough.
For steady consumption of several tonnes per month a stationary tank gives the lowest cost per cubic metre. For lower or seasonal consumption, cryogenic cylinders win on zero capital cost for foundations and piping. Send us your monthly figures and we will compare both options.
We supply the equipment and can recommend gas suppliers in your region; for CO₂ we offer our own supply. Cylinders are compatible with standard filling stations of Ukrainian gas producers.
